As a Computer Science student, I enjoy creating projects that allow me to apply my programming and web development skills to practical applications. One of my course projects was redesigning and developing a mobile-responsive restaurant website focused on improving usability, accessibility, and user experience.

The goal of this project was to create a website that made it easier for users to navigate restaurant information and find important menu items. Through this project, I worked with front-end technologies and collaborated with a team to design and implement an improved website structure.

The Idea Behind the Project

The purpose of this project was to improve an existing restaurant website by focusing on better organization, accessibility, and user interaction. We analyzed the website layout and redesigned different sections to create a more user-friendly experience across different devices.

The project focused on making important information, such as menu items and navigation options, easier for users to find while maintaining a clean and responsive design.

Technologies and Tools Used

While developing this project, I worked with different technologies and tools to create an interactive website.

HTML – Used to structure the content and layout of the website.

CSS – Used to design the interface and create a responsive layout that works across different screen sizes.

JavaScript – Used to implement interactive features and improve user navigation.

Git – Used for version control, collaboration, and managing changes with team members.

What I Learned

Working on this project helped me improve my understanding of front-end development and user-centered design. I learned how small changes in website structure and navigation can improve the overall user experience

I also gained experience collaborating with teammates through Git, resolving merge conflicts, and managing code changes throughout the development process.

Challenges and Problem Solving

One challenge during this project was reorganizing the website layout while maintaining accessibility and usability. Making sure that important menu items were easy to locate required careful planning and testing.

Working through these challenges improved my problem-solving skills and helped me better understand the importance of designing websites with users in mind.
